My background and qualifications

I am a California Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have rich clinical experience and have counseled individuals, couples and families since 1985.

Before entering private practice, I was a supervisor in the chemical dependency unit at St. John’s Hospital in Santa Monica, and a chemical dependency therapist at Centinela Hospital in Los Angeles. For seven years, I worked in Cigna’s chemical dependency clinic in South Pasadena. I then went into private practice in Santa Monica and Pasadena before moving to the Central Coast in 2000.

Today I maintain a busy private practice in Arroyo Grande, California, where I offer caring, affordable counseling to individuals, couples and families.

I grew up in Massachusetts, and prior to becoming a therapist I had a long and successful career in the advertising industry in New York and Los Angeles.

I am a clinical member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists.
